FARROW, Elizabeth Lockridge

The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Farrow occurred Thursday at 6 o’clock at her home on Anderson Street where she and her husband, DP Farrow and Mr. and Mrs. CB McNay, the latter being her daughter, have resided for the last five years. Her death was due to the infirmities of her age which was 81 years. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock at Locust Street Church conducted by Revs. Wylie and Hoagland and interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Farrow, who was Miss Lockridge before her marriage was born five miles northeast of Mt. Stirling, Ky March 25, 1822 and came to the Raccoon Creek settlement in this county in 1835. Her wedding to Mr. Farrow occurred in 1844.  All of their married life with the exception of some 14 months was spent in this county, her home for 50 years being the Farrow homestead on the gravel road west of this city. They were the parents of six children of whom the living are J. Andrew Farrow, Mrs. Wm. Wimmer and Mrs. Bertha McNay; one who is dead was the wife of Geo. W. Kimball and there were also Mary and Angela. Mrs. Farrow was a sister of AM Lockridge, Robert Z. Lockridge, Mrs. Margaret Black, Mrs. Chas. Bridges, Mrs. Jas. O’Hair, Miss Virginia Lockridge and Mrs. Thompson of Ladoga, the latter being the only one who is now living. - kz
